The first day we went out for a walk we were talking about the castle, having no clue where it was we just wandered down different roads, looking at the shops, buildings and views. Eventually, as we were walking Eric was saying how he had no clue where the castle could be (we had heard it was right in the center of town) next thing we knew, we turned a corner and literally stumbled upon the castle. Still confused how we didn't see it coming (I think I was distracted by the bakeries) but really.. How cool?!
That was my favorite walk yet; it's not everyday you turn a corner and find a castle! Besides the castle, we saw really cool cobblestone roads, cute shops that I'm excited to check out and amazing views (pictures don't do it justice).
We've gotten the chance to explore a little more but there are still so many little roads to walk down, views to see, shops to browse and cafés/resturants/bakeries/creperies to try! (I should also start to seriously consider a gym membership because the food & bread is all too good and dangerous) but it's been great getting more comfortable and familiar the area. I currently don't have a working phone when I leave the apartment since I've just been relying on wifi, so it's super important to me to at least have a general idea of the area and what streets lead to where for when Tito and I go for walks on our own, phone-less and French-less. But even being familiar with the area and streets you really do see something different and amazing every time you pass!
